2K Games occurs as video game publisher and a completely owned subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. It was created in January 25, 2005 after Take-2 acquired developer Visual Concepts and its wholly-owned subsidiary Kush Games from Sega for $24 million. A title "2K games" comes from either Visual Concepts' sports game lineup typically known as a "2K series". 2K Games is headquartered around Manhattan.
